FACULTY PROFILE:
The department is led by a team of reasearch minded, highly qualified, experienced and fully dedicated faculty members. The faculties always try to draw out the capabilities of the students and to transmit the modern and updated knowledge. The students find boththeoretical and practical classes full of life and highly interesting.
INFRASTRUCTURE :
Deptt. of Vocational Education has its own separate building with all the required facilities for Management teaching and research. Presently only one Degree Course BBM (Hons) is running in this department.
CLASS ROOMS :
The Department posses an seperate furnished building with capacity to accommodate 200 students.
COMPUTER LAB:
Department has established a large capacity computer lab. equipped with latest wide range of pentium-IV & III Computer systems of MNC standard. Computer lab. presently posses 30 computer Systems, all are interconnected under LAN environment, Printers (Dotmatrix, Color deskjet), Scanner, UPS and other relevant peripherals. Wide range of Computer application licensed version softwares. BBM students are alloted the system in the ratio 2:1. The department is also having multimedia and Internet facilities. Two Competent Machine Room trainers are always present during the Lab. session in order to provide through exposure to the learners and help them in developing software as per the needs of the organisation in ORACLE, Visual Basic, C, C++, SQL, Server etc.
SEMINAR LIBRARY:
The seminar Library of the department has extensive collection of about 500 books on various topics covering the whole syllabus of BBM (Hons) of standard writer & publishers. Computer Journals and periodecals are also a part of seminar library stocks. Department is regular subscriber of following Computer Magazines : 1. Business World , 2. India Today, 3. C S R., etc. Students of BBM are also allowed to use the college central library which has a vast collection of about 35000 books. The reading room of the college has capacity to accommodate 100 learners at a time to read journals, periodicals and news papers. News papers HINDUSTAN TIMES, AAJ, HINDUSTAN, DAINIK JAGARAN, THE TIMES OF INDIA, THE ECONOMICS TIMES are subscribed in two copies each.
UGC-NRC :
With objective to create awarness among staff and students about use of the Computer in various activities like administration, finance, examination and research. U.G.C. sponsored Network Resource Centre has been stablished. NRC posses three latest P4 Computer System with internet facility, printer, scanner, fax, xerox.
ACADEMIC PROGRAMME :
The department offers Three years full time honours Degree in Business Management (BBM Hons.) Course divided into three parts Degree Part -I, II, & III. BBM (Hons.) Degree is awarded by the Magadh University, Bodh-Gaya to participants who successfully completes the Course.
TEACHING METHODOLOGY :
In BBM( Hons) Course the medium of instruction is English. Besides lecture method, Lab. Session, presentation, Group Discussion, case study and survey are employed to impart relevant knowledge and skill. Participants / students are encouraged to involve themselves in individual and group activities involving above mentioned tools and develop the habit of self-learning. Participants experience the pleasure of learning through interactions : Although the onus to learn lies mainly with the participants, Faculty Members are available to guide them in channelising their efforts towards realization of their learning goals. Experts are invited from the reputed academic institutions eminent industrialists and professional experts from the industry and govt. Organisations are also invited to speak to the student on different IT Sectors professional issues.
OTHER ACTIVITIES :
Apart from routine academic activities the students of the department are also be encouraged to take active part in organising literary, cultural and sports activities, debates, Seminars, lectures, Quiz Contest, workshops, Symposium, placement activities etc.
